Jesse likes to call his vacations 'going off-grid' and my 10-day trip to Costa Rica was happily thus. Bookended by nights with my gracious friends in San Jose, I spent a few days each in La Fortuna, Santa Elena/Monteverde, Playa Hermosa, and Manuel Antonio. Pictures, in Flickr's usually strange reverse chronological order, are HERE. Though I met several wonderful fellow travelers and stayed in some charming places, these photos are mostly of the non-human life-forms I encountered.
