Bypassing Comedy Central's Browser-Crippling 'Motherload'
I have neither cable nor TiVo but I love to watch clips of the Daily Show and the Colbert Report while I'm eating or procastinating. Comedy Central places a generous amount of these shows on their website, but delivers the clips via their awful browser-busting control-crippling Motherload. For users with low-bandwidth, though, a simpler player automatically plays the clips. This one uses simple direct links rather than Motherload's clunky, unresponsive flash controls. CC recently lowered the bandwidh minimum, though, so that even my slowish wireless network brings up Motherload via the links on CC's site. Rejoice, however! The old player still exists, and it accessible via THIS link. Now we can all watch in tabs, like God intended.
